Welcome to the Ultimate Chick Flick Guide!! I am a die hard chick flick fan so I’ll be sharing with you my favourite films and which ones you should avoid.I hope you enjoy it and if you can think of anymore then let me know.
However, I am open to some new suggestions so I’ll be sugesin sa few that you should try.
Happy wife, happy life!
Watching this film was a last resort when I went back home for the weekend and wanted a light hearted film to fall asleep to. This was the best thing my sister could come up with. It isn’t horrendous but that depends on your type of humour. Ben Stiller only seems to do the same kind of film which I always have to be in a certain mood in order to enjoy it. I’d recommend it if you haven’t got anything to do but it certainly won’t make it into my top 20.
Dreams change. Friends are forever
In my earlier geeky days I actually owned the video of Crossroads in French. Sad I know! So when trying to choose my next freebies from work I decided to get this film and actually see it in English for once. This wasn’t my boyfriend’s idea of Friday night entertainment but I have to say that he was persuaded when Britney Spears started jumping round in her underwear.
Despite the pretty semi-naked girls I love the cheesyness of this film. I love the issues that the story lines approach, with the final lesson being just to follow your dreams. You can’t get much better than that! Plus there’s always the added bonus of the gorgeous Anson Mount.
If you’ve never seen this film then stop reading now, I don’t want to spoil the ending for you. I’ve found the best bits video from youtube so check it out. The soundtrack it amazing as well.
Mandy Moore and Shane West make the greatest onscreen couple. I love how much he loves her. You’ve got to have a good struggle to get an onscreen couple together in order to really be able to say awwwww!!
As this story is such a shocker I won’t reveal the ending but if you miss it then you’re missing out. And if you don’t get through a whole box of tissues by the end then you’re totally heartless.
Love is like the wind. You cannot see it but you can always feel it!
What you do when watching your film is totally up to you but it can totally make your evening in. Anything can set the mood and make watching your film so much better. So here are my personal faves!!
A glass of wine
I’m a bit of a lighweight so I only need one glass of wine, it just relaxes me so much! I so prefer rose over white or red! It’s great to share a bottle with a few friends.
A Hot Chocolate with Marshallows
I hate being cold in winter and hot chocolate can warm you up as well as make you feel so much better. Chocolate and warmth in a mug you can’t get much better than that!
If you have any other favourite accompaniments for your film then let me know!!
This trailer has been playing in Blockbuster for ages and ever time it comes on I stop to watch but have been so busy that I’ve saved it for a reward for all my hard work. It was so worth the wait, this film is definitely not to be missed.
Although I’m not a big fan of Angelina Jolie she does a great job as the mother who looses her son. I followed the case of missing Madeline McCan very closely and was fascinated about how missing persons were dealt with in the 1920s.
This is such a sad and traumatic film and is even worse when you realise that the film is based on a true story. I did have a little weep and even my boyfriend enjoyed it. It’s a one to watch!!
Love is here to stay… so is her family
I was so disappointed with this film, there was just no characters that are relatable or humorous. It was just a bit wishy washy the whole time. I don’t even want to waste writing this onto my blog but I fear you chick flick hunting girls need to be warned.
